Document imaging involves the conversion of an image on paper to an electronic image. Once the hard copy is scanned, the source documents can be destroyed or archived. Processing continues from the electronic copy. This may involve optical character recognition (OCR) or intelligent character recognition (ICR). Many fields of data are captured in a custom application that will be used for downstream processing such as mailings, order processing or financial systems.

How we work
Our generally preferred method for data capture is Optical Character Recognition, an automated process that creates digital machine readable format of hardcopy textual pages. Pages that exist only as hardcopy are imaged at a required resolution then passed through our proprietary suite of OCR engines in a process that extracts all textual data.
We use a customized system with a mix of leading commercial tools, technologies and processes - to produce the highest level of textual accuracy. To further enable us to produce maximized accuracy levels, a combination of manual and automated processes are used. These include a system of processes whereby different engines make syntax-based decisions to maximize initial OCR accuracy.
We utilize the cost effectiveness of offshore labor to perform the data extraction functions and use a proprietary workflow and tracking system to track and manage the data entry activities. The tracking system tracks documents and data as they move through the capturing workflow process. This system ensures that every document and all data is accounted for control in preventing lost documents and data and ensures that all data is captured and accurately and timely.
Our complete solution allows to reduce client's back-office burden by outsourcing their non-core activities. After processing the data is returned according to customer specifications and is loaded into their imaging system.
